IMI Kolkata to Host Deep Tech Entrepreneurship Summit in Collaboration with Turnip and Qualcomm

Kolkata is set to host the Deep Tech Entrepreneurship Summit on 8 May 2026. The event is being organised by IMI Kolkata in collaboration with Turnip Innovations and Qualcomm. It will take place at the IMI Kolkata Auditorium in Alipore. The summit aims to bring together students, researchers, and faculty to explore opportunities in deep technology and entrepreneurship, with a focus on real world impact and innovation.

Keynote Address and Distinguished Speakers

The highlight of the event will be the keynote address by Ram Krishnan, Senior Director of Engineering at Qualcomm, San Diego. He will be joined by other distinguished speakers and panelists from the industry and academic sectors. The sessions will include keynote speeches and panel discussions, offering insights into how emerging technologies are being transformed into scalable business solutions.

Focus on Innovation and Future Growth

The summit will provide participants with exposure to global industry trends and evolving career paths in technology and startups. Attendees will also get an opportunity to visit the incubation centre at IMI Kolkata. Organisers state that the event is designed to build long term collaboration between academia and industry, helping participants prepare for the rapidly changing landscape of deep tech. Registration

Institutions are invited to nominate up to 20 participants, including students, research scholars, and faculty members. Participation in the summit is free of cost, and all attendees will receive a certificate upon completion. However, registration and verification are mandatory for entry and certification.
