General Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "Learner", "you") and Turnip Innovations Private Limited ("Turnip", "Company", "we", "us", "our"), a company incorporated under the laws of India (CIN: U74999WB2018PTC227193), operating the website https://www.turnip.co.in/ and associated platforms including IPGRAM®.
Turnip provides educational services in the fields of Intellectual Property (IP), Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Data Analytics. Our offerings include online courses, live and recorded webinars, AI-powered learning tools, certificate programmes, newsletters, and related educational resources (collectively, the "Services"). Individual applications and products operated by Turnip — such as IPGRAM® Learn, Turnip AI Platform, and other tools — may have their own specific terms and conditions and privacy policies. Users are advised to refer to the terms of each individual application they use, in addition to these overarching Terms.
By accessing, browsing, or using our website or any of our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of our Services immediately.
These Terms are published in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act), 2023.
2. Eligibility
To use our Services, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must be at least 15 years of age. If you are between 15 and 18 years of age, you must have verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.
- You must possess a valid and active email address for account creation, course delivery, and communications.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and maintain the accuracy of such information throughout your use of the Services.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under applicable Indian law.
Turnip reserves the right to refuse access to any individual who does not meet the eligibility criteria or who has previously been suspended or terminated from the Services.
3. Account and Access
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your password, and for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account or any other breach of security.
- Turnip shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials.
- Each account is for individual use only. You may not share, transfer, or assign your account or access to any other person.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we reasonably believe that your account information is inaccurate, or that your account is being misused.
4. Courses and Content
- All courses, webinars, study materials, assessments, tools, and related content provided through the Services are intended solely for educational and informational purposes.
- Our content does not constitute professional legal, financial, investment, tax, or other specialised advice. You should consult qualified professionals before acting on any information obtained through our Services.
- Course content, curricula, schedules, instructors, pricing, and delivery methods are subject to change at Turnip's discretion. We will make reasonable efforts to notify enrolled learners of material changes.
- All content is protected by intellectual property laws. Your access to course materials is granted as a limited, non-transferable licence for personal educational use only (see Section 6 below).
- Turnip does not guarantee any specific career outcomes, job placements, salary increases, or professional advantages as a result of completing any course or programme.
- Learners are expected to make a reasonable, good-faith effort to engage with and complete the programmes they sign up for, including attending scheduled sessions, completing assessments within the prescribed timelines, and following the course curriculum as outlined. Turnip shall not be responsible for a learner's failure to derive benefit from a course due to lack of participation or effort on the learner's part.
5. Assessments and Certificates
Turnip offers assessments and certificates as part of certain courses and programmes, subject to the following conditions:
- Assessments: Quizzes, tests, assignments, and other assessments must be completed independently by the enrolled learner. Any form of cheating, plagiarism, impersonation, or use of unauthorised assistance will result in immediate disqualification and potential account termination.
- Certificate Issuance: Certificates of completion or participation are issued at Turnip's sole discretion upon successful fulfilment of the prescribed course requirements, including minimum attendance, assessment scores, and any other criteria specified for the programme.
- Unique Verification IDs: Each certificate issued carries a unique identification number. Third parties (including employers and educational institutions) may verify the authenticity of a certificate through our public verification system.
- Certificate Revocation: Turnip reserves the right to revoke any certificate if it is subsequently discovered that the learner engaged in academic dishonesty, provided false information during registration, violated these Terms, or if the certificate was issued in error.
- No Accreditation Representation: Unless explicitly stated, certificates issued by Turnip do not represent formal academic degrees or government-recognised accreditations. They are evidence of completion of Turnip's educational programmes.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
- All content available through the Services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, course materials, assessments, software, AI tools, code, and the design and arrangement thereof, is the exclusive property of Turnip Innovations Private Limited or its licensors, and is protected under Indian and international intellectual property laws including the Copyright Act, 1957, the Trade Marks Act, 1999, and the Patents Act, 1970.
- IPGRAM® is a registered trademark of Turnip Innovations Private Limited. Unauthorised use of this trademark or any other Turnip marks, logos, or branding is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
- Upon enrolment, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the course materials solely for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, modify, create derivative works from, sell, resell, sublicence, or otherwise exploit any content from the Services without prior written consent from Turnip.
- You may not use screen recording, screen capture, or any automated tools to copy, download, or extract content from the Services unless expressly permitted.
- Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit to Turnip may be used by the Company without any obligation to compensate you or maintain confidentiality.

Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, forfeiture of any fees paid, and legal action where appropriate.
8. Communications and Consent
By enrolling in any course, programme, or service offered by Turnip, you consent to receive course-related transactional communications, including but not limited to enrolment confirmations, course modules, assessment links, OTPs, certificates, and administrative notices. These communications are essential for the delivery of the Services and are not marketing communications.
Where we send promotional or newsletter communications, we do so only with your explicit consent. You have the ability to unsubscribe from promotional updates at any time with just one click, using the unsubscribe link provided at the bottom of every such email. Unsubscribing from promotional communications will not affect the delivery of transactional course-related emails.
9. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
Turnip treats user data as sacred. This principle is embedded in our organisational culture and instilled in every Turnip employee. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal data with any third party for marketing, advertising, or profiling purposes. We do not upload user data (including CSV files or contact lists) to any advertising platform — including Google Ads, Facebook, or any similar service — for running targeted advertisements.
Data shared for service delivery only: Certain third-party service providers require minimal data to deliver our Services to you. These include:
- Razorpay — for secure payment processing (name, email, phone, billing details)
- SendGrid — for delivering course emails, OTPs, and certificates (name, email)
- Google Forms — for course registration and surveys
- YouTube — for hosting and streaming webinars and video content
- Google Cloud Platform — for hosting and data storage
These providers are contractually bound to use your data solely for the purpose we engage them for.
Data shared for joint programmes: For courses conducted jointly with partner institutions or recognised bodies (such as AICTE-recognised courses, or courses co-hosted with academic institutions, corporations, or government bodies), limited enrolment data may be shared with the respective joint partner. In every such case, this is explicitly disclosed below the registration form before you enrol. You will always know, at the point of registration, which partner organisation may receive your data.
Data shared under legal obligation: We may disclose your data if required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request under Indian law.
Turnip does not own, control, or operate these third-party services and is not responsible for their content, privacy practices, availability, or security. Your use of such services is governed by their respective terms and conditions and privacy policies. We strongly encourage you to review those terms before engaging with any third-party service.
Turnip shall not be held responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any loss, damage, or claim arising from or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, any third-party service, content, product, or resource linked to or referenced through our platform.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
- Turnip does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
- Turnip does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content, information, or materials provided through the Services.
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Turnip's total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed INR 1,000 (Indian Rupees One Thousand) or the amount you have paid to Turnip in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is lower.
- In no event shall Turnip, its directors, officers, employees, agents, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, regardless of the cause of action or theory of liability.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Turnip Innovations Private Limited, its directors, officers, employees, agents, affiliates, and licensors from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use of or access to the Services;
- Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation;
- Your violation of any rights of a third party, including intellectual property rights;
- Any content or information you submit, post, or transmit through the Services; or
- Any misrepresentation made by you.
This indemnification obligation shall survive the termination or expiry of these Terms and your use of the Services.
12. Termination
- Turnip may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without prior notice. Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to, violation of these Terms, fraudulent or illegal activity, non-payment of applicable fees, or conduct that Turnip reasonably considers harmful to other users or the platform.
- Upon termination, your right to access the Services and any associated content ceases immediately. You will not be entitled to a refund of any fees paid, except as expressly provided in the Refund Policy below.
- All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law.
- You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Account termination does not automatically entitle you to a refund.
13. Changes to Terms
Turnip reserves the right to modify, amend, or replace these Terms at any time at its sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to the new terms taking effect. Notice may be provided via email to the address associated with your account, through a prominent notice on our website, or by other appropriate means.
What constitutes a "material change" shall be determined at Turnip's sole discretion. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of and agreement to the updated Terms.
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any changes.
14. Force Majeure
Turnip shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms if such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond Turnip's reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, epidemics, pandemics);
- Acts of war, terrorism, civil unrest, or armed conflict;
- Government actions, sanctions, embargoes, or regulatory changes;
- Strikes, labour disputes, or lockouts;
- Power failures, internet outages, telecommunications failures, or cyberattacks;
- Failure of third-party service providers or infrastructure.
In such events, Turnip's obligations under these Terms shall be suspended for the duration of the force majeure event. Turnip will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users and resume Services as soon as practicable.
